Bring hydrogen production closer to demand
Convert ammonia into hydrogen or hydrogen-rich fuel near the point of use, reducing the need to transport hydrogen over the full delivery route.
Convert ammonia into hydrogen or hydrogen-rich fuel closer to where it is needed. AMMDrive™ Hydrogen Generators offer a modular approach to hydrogen production for industrial applications, refueling infrastructure and integration into larger energy systems.

Benefits
Hydrogen supply is about more than production. You need the right output, a workable fuel supply and a system that connects with your existing infrastructure. AMMDrive™ Hydrogen Generators offer a way to address these requirements using ammonia as a transportable hydrogen carrier.
Bring hydrogen production closer to demand

Project integration
The reformer is one part of your hydrogen supply solution. Understanding how ammonia reaches the system, what happens to the resulting gas and how it connects with your application helps establish a realistic project scope.
Start with the output you need
Define the hydrogen production rate, gas composition and operating conditions required by your application.
Plan your ammonia supply
Evaluate ammonia sourcing, delivery, storage and handling based on local infrastructure and project economics.
Connect to downstream equipment
Identify the purification, conditioning, compression, storage or process equipment required between the reformer and the end use.
Clarify the delivery scope
Establish the site preparation, utilities, installation, commissioning and responsibilities across Amogy, your team and delivery partners.
Hydrogen applications
Whether you’re supplying a refueling station, supporting an industrial process or planning hydrogen production at scale, start with the requirements of your application.

Explore ammonia-based hydrogen production as a supply pathway for refueling infrastructure, with additional treatment and equipment matched to the required hydrogen specifications.

Supply hydrogen or hydrogen-rich fuel for compatible industrial processes and thermal applications, with production and integration designed around your operating requirements.

Evaluate ammonia conversion for larger hydrogen production and distribution projects, where capacity, downstream processing and infrastructure integration shape the system.
Technology
AMMDrive™ Hydrogen Generators use Amogy’s ammonia cracking technology to produce hydrogen-rich gas. The resulting output can be supplied to compatible downstream applications, with additional processing where required.
Liquid ammonia is delivered from suitable storage infrastructure to the reformer.
Amogy’s catalyst facilitates the conversion of ammonia into hydrogen and nitrogen, producing a hydrogen-rich gas known as reformate.
Reformate can be supplied to compatible equipment or undergo additional processing to meet the required hydrogen specifications.

Safety
Your team needs a clear understanding of the operating conditions, safety requirements and support arrangements associated with ammonia reforming. Addressing these early helps you plan for installation and ongoing operation.
Identify ammonia-handling procedures, training, safety controls and site requirements before installation.
Understand the operating procedures, maintenance access and service requirements associated with the selected configuration.
Clarify technical support, service responsibilities and the roles of Amogy, project partners and your operating team.
The AH Series is positioned for hydrogen generation applications, while the AD Series produces hydrogen-rich fuel for integration with compatible downstream systems, including engine-based power generation. The appropriate product depends on the required output and application.
Yes. The AH Series is designed to produce high-purity hydrogen (above 99.97%, ISO 14687:2019 Grade D) for applications such as fuel cells. The AD Series supplies hydrogen-rich gas containing hydrogen and nitrogen for engines and other compatible equipment. The right configuration depends on the application’s specifications.
Requirements depend on the configuration and site. They may include ammonia supply and storage, utilities, safety systems, gas treatment, downstream equipment and supporting infrastructure.
Modular configurations may support phased capacity additions, subject to equipment selection, site conditions, ammonia infrastructure and engineering requirements.
Start with your required hydrogen output, gas specifications, operating profile, downstream equipment, ammonia supply and project timeline. Amogy can help assess the appropriate configuration.
